Getting back to what I'm good at: Research

For the record
I do not think blogging this way will get me a job. I think blogging this way will force me to come up with creative solutions, ingrain the importance of the written word and phrasing. It will teach me to take criticism and either defend my choices or learn from my mistakes.

Any student knows that a prolonged break from the use of their major, such as an unemployed summer, depletes their on hand knowledge and slows their response rate. By doing this I hope to strengthen my communication skills and reinforce my drive to succeed.

Step Two
I've been applying to positions in companies that interest me, along with a few companies I have never heard of. The companies I am less familiar with, appear to hold a variety of opportunities that I am interested in learning more about. While upon applying I research each company and their lifestyle, and I feel as though I haven’t dug enough. That is my goal for the next couple days is to research even more about these companies, and find out if there is a chance to set up an informational interview. Although, some of those interviews will have to be via phone as the companies are not nearby.
